ISAE 3402 - New standard for Assurance Reports on Controls at Service Organizations
The proposed standards require that management of the service organization provide a formal assertion acknowledging its responsibilities for the controls, providing user auditors and user organizations with a greater level of comfort. In addition, the new international standard will also provide more consistent reporting globally, thereby eliminating the need to understand or interpret multiple report standards.
Prime brokers move towards independent SAS 70 checks
"The SAS 70 gives them some third-party independent assurance that what it says on the tin actually happens in reality.
